Genoa City Public Library's Hooks and Needles Club, a club for all fiber arts, is held on the first and third Thursday of the month from 10 am to Noon. This club is held in the board room of Village Hall.

Hooks and Needles

Hooks and Needles is an informal meeting for patrons who have interest in knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, quilting, sewing, or embroidery.

  • The group meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the Month

  • Meetings are held at the Village of Genoa City Village Hall

  • Meetings begin at 10 am and end at noon

  • Attendance is not mandatory, there is no charge to join

Members bring in whatever project(s) they are currently working on. Projects are shared with others in the group at a show and tell period. Members celebrate each others’ creativity. They also freely exchange information about:

  • New patterns to try

  • Books, new and old to check out/purchase

  • Podcasts and websites to follow

  • Local yarn shops, quilt shows, classes being offered, and festivals or fairs to attend

Questions can be sent via email: genoa@genoacity.lib.wi.us or

Complete list of dates

Every year the library has a giving tree. Almost all items available on the tree have been made by Hooks and needles members.

Some of the women in the club, crochet or knit items we place on our Giving Tree. The Giving Tree is up during the Winter months and is free for anyone to take an item(s).

We appreciate all their hard work!
